PEANUT SHELLING SYSTEMS

Saat Technologe Peanut Shelling Systems are specially designed and manufactured to handle your exact needs. All of our systems are engineered with your type of peanut product(s) in mind. We can design and build a system to shell peanuts at almost any amount of tonnage per hour.

A peanut shelling system consists of much more than just a peanut sheller, although that is an important component. The peanut shelling cylinder is one of those components. The Saat Technologe Peanut Sheller Cylinder is designed with high efficiency, high capacity and minimum split creation.

PEANUT SHELLER

The Saat Technologe Peanut Sheller cylinder is designed to shell peanuts and is a main integrated part of the shelling system with high efficiency, high capacity and minimum split creation.

The Saat Technologe Peanut Sheller cylinder is designed with ease of operation and low maintenance in mind. The shelling grates or concaves are easy to change out and can be sharpened as they become dull with wear. This quick-change feature allows the operator to change shelling grates quickly as the size of the peanuts change. Directly driven by its motor and gear reducer, the shelling cylinder will start up under load.

There are 3 hardened shelling bars in each cylinder. These shelling bars are readily adjustable to give the proper distance between the bars and the shelling grate.

4 Peanut Sheller cylinders
– Peanut Sheller is designed with ease of operation and low maintenance in mind.
– The shelling grates are easy to change, quick change feature allows the operator to easily vary shelling grates as the size of the peanuts change.

Three screening boats

Balanced Eccentric System

Ball Box
– efficient cleaning of sieves by rubber balls
– can maintain the cleaning effect at extremely low temperatures as the rubber balls are cast in a very suitable material
– is cast solid so that it prevents stuck seeds etc. (self-cleaning)

Hull aspiration Vacuum Channels
-eliminates light shells
-through which shells, dust etc. are led with the airflow to the after-suction system.

Centrifugal Aspirator
-The impeller is self-cleaning and dynamically balanced. The spiral housing is made of welded steel plate.
-direct coupled flange motor

Service Platform
-Easy access to Sheller and Aspiration for service and maintenance.
-Cat walk and safety bars.

Conditions before Shelling:

Peanut seed to be Shelled, should have been cleaned/separated from admixtures*

Shelling Operation with Peanut Sheller:

Seed is fed into the inlet where it enters to the 2 Units of Peanut Sheller Cylinder. Shelling Bars forces the Peanuts to pass through the grates where shelling occurs.  Speed of the Shelling bars are fixed. Right after sheeling Shells aspirated by Vacuum Channels, kernels, Shells and None shelled Peanut falls on the First Screen Boat for fines screen separation. Second Screen Boat is for None Shelled Peanut Separation as oversize to be send over to 3^rd Peanut Sheller Cylinder. The bottom Screen Boat is for Split Peanut Kernel Separation. At the end of each Screen Boat there is Aspiration Channel for Shell Aspiration. The last Peanut Sheller Cylinder is for shelling the returns from Density Separator that would be allocated in the line right after the Sheller Equipment. 

An industrial duty machine, long lifetime ensured by rugged design ensures easily replaceable Grates and Shelling Bars fabricated from a highly durable steel for wear resistance.

Food Grade:

Easy access to all parts of the machine.

Food Grade painted surface is sufficient for Sunflower Seed processing equipment. Stainless Steel surface is optional.

Food Grade Lubricants for bearings.

Shelling yield:

Shelling yield ranges from 70 to 90 %, this high variation happens due to right conditions being provided or not and we are happy to share our experience. Please consult your sales agent.

After Shelling Operation:

Depending on your end use or business needs the right equipment is used for purification of Kernels which can be a Density Separator, Splits Seed Separator, Color Sorter, Sizer, Hand Pick Selection Belt Conveyor, X-Ray and or Weighing and bagging Scale.
