HOPPER SCALE
Saat Technologe’s HS Series automatic hopper scale can be applied to in-plant process checking by weighing granular and powdery products. Its integrated sensor system ensures optimal operating reliability and top accuracy. Its throughput capacity ranges from 0.25 m3/h to 0.50 m3/h, depending on the size of the specific model.
Hopper Scales are designed for weighing a flow of products into batches for packing, dosing, distribution, and yield monitoring. The unit consists of a hopper, load cell, and weighing indicator. The Hopper Scale is controlled by a software application, which normally runs on an indicator.
The Scale Indicator is operated with push buttons and a keypad, using a simple built-in menu system. The indicator has a large, bright weighing display, showing tare, grade number, and other data. The display also has a large filling bar that clearly shows the packing status in real time.

How does a hopper scale work?
Material is filled using dosing devices through the lid of the hopper scale. When reaching the desired amount of material/product, the scale is emptied by gravity discharge. When the charge is removed from the bin, the next charge can be initiated. Should higher capacity be required the double hopper scale has a higher batch/hour capacity, as the construction allows the weighing bin to be filled while the previous batch is being emptied.
